Thank you for visiting the Greater Minneapolis/St. Paul Basset Hound Club of Minnesota. Our club was established to protect and promote this unique and wonderful breed of dogs. The membership of the GMSPBHC actively shows their dogs in AKC conformation events as well as other AKC sanctioned events. We also have a large number of pet owners who enjoy having basset hounds as family members. We invite you to join us in our efforts and to become active in the club.

GMSPBHC is a club dedicated to the Basset hound and their owners to support responsible breeding as well as pet ownership.
We participate in a variety of activities so make sure to keep an eye on the calendar of events.
In June of each year the GMSPBHC organizes the Basset Specialty show. Updates will be found on the Specialty page.
Basset Jam is an annual event enjoyed by club members in June of each year. In conjunction with the Oakdale (MN) Grand Days Parade, the club “float” is a mass of waddling Basset hounds walking around the parade route enjoying the attention and belly rubs offered by the crowd! The club organizes fund raisers to support its activities. Auction and/or raffles are held at the club activities with items offered by club members. The GMSPBHC supports Basset Buddies Rescue, Inc., and often times will take time to volunteer at their events.
